Spreadsheet Upload The Offline Order Importer is an app designed to streamline the order fulfillment process in BigCommerce. It is a one-way import tool for bulk orders from an external Excel or .xlsx sheet into the BigCommerce platform. To use it:
- Upload your Excel sheet, triggering the bulk upload process.
- The uploaded document is validated to ensure it meets the required format and data integrity.
- Shipping addresses are divided into batches for efficient processing.
Processing Batches Concurrently
The system processes batches of shipping addresses concurrently, allowing for efficient handling of large volumes of orders.
Pause and Await Payment During processing, if needed, the upload can be paused until payment is added. This ensures orders are not processed until the necessary payment information is provided
Finalization and Order Processing Once all batches are successfully processed, the bulk upload is finalized. Payments for each batch’s order are processed, and order statuses are updated accordingly.
Cancellation If necessary, the bulk upload can be canceled, ensuring proper handling of unsettled batches
Cleanup Functions Old bulk upload documents are automatically cleaned up, maintaining a clean and organized storage environment.
